Hello,
We are a few players using your superb software to perform patrol flights with several frequencies on IVAO.
We have a problem with a member who is connected to a "public" wifi. He cannot therefore adjust the opening of the ports and we note that he is indeed the only one to have big problems such as he does not receive everyone or some hear him others do not.
How could we solve this problem? If he goes through a connection on his phone in 4G / 5G, could it work better or not at all?

Public WiFi maybe a challenge.
SimCom X should in theory work on public WiFi the same as a private connection.
But the owner of the public WiFi will have blocked a number of ports both in and out and implemented firewalls in order to protect their network. Most people tend to use public WiFi to simply browse the web or check emails, so most ports are not needed to be opened.
I'll test a few things here to see if I can cause an issue and maybe try to help.
A few things you could try...
Try a known port like 443, which is used for Https. This is normally allowed open for TCP but the owner may have opened it for UDP also.
Ports 80, 25 may also work.
You could try a VPN like ProtonVPN
This may help by tunneling the connection and allowing you to forward a port in the proton app.
If you use public WiFi you should really always be using a VPN in my opinion, as you don't know who else is also on the public WiFi sniffing your traffic.
You could also Google to see if users of the same network have had similar issues and maybe find a fix that way.

I just tried SimCom X on my laptop connected to my mobile phones 4G personal hotspot.
No ports were forwarded and I set port 8600 in the SimCom X config screen.
I was able to talk to my PC on my home fibre connection with no issues.
