Adjusted the ATIS so that it can be heard at no more than 200nm with the distance tickbox ticked.

With the distance box unticked an ATIS will be heard worldwide

ATIS will stop playing when an ATCO disabled their ATIS.

Corrected a bug where a simulator wouldn't connect if started after SimCom X.

The distance feature for normal voice is disabled at this time, whilst I rework it.

Roo,

Have to tell you im amazed i didnt find this sooner. Lots of awesome features. Im part of a virtural milsim organization we are looking at implementing this for large exercises. Few things i found while testing.

1 dont here mic click when key mic or other pilot keys mic.not a deal breaker

2. No static sound while talking not a deal breaker

3 sound is very low on both ends even tryed to turn volume up on aplication doesnt seem like it does not do  anything. Goes to 10 no difference

Is there something we are doing wrong again we would love to implement this in our organization and its picking up traction anything we can do to help you let me know

Thanks for everything you do

Glad it's of use.

The click, static and voice distance features have been disabled on purpose at the moment whilst I checked the stability of another fix.

I'll bring them back in future releases.

As for volume..

I noticed that windows liked to reduce the app volume by itself (very kind of Microsoft), it's to do with the "Phone call settings" off the top of my head.

You can check this by looking at how high the app volume level is in your windows sound mixer (speaker icon bottom right in toolbar). When I get chance I'll post instructions of how to disable the telephone setting.

Good stuff.

I'd test the app before organising any group flights as I've been unable to test with more than 3. Let me know if you have issues.

  • @wstough The only issue I know of is when windows lowers the volume for the app.

You can follow the link below to stop this happening.

www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmanager/win10-lowers-volume-automatically.html

Are you saying it's still quiet when windows hasn't lowered the volume?

You can check in your windows sound mixer.

I can try and look for a solution to the windows lowering the sound issue and see if I can write something so windows ignores SimCom X. But I'm unsure if it's possible and I'm checking that's the issue you have first.

Another thought.

Check with the self test feature in SimCom X incase it's using the wrong microphone or your microphone input volume is low.

Typing ST ON in the SimCom X text box will allow you to hear you own voice, you can then check your mic volume and that you can hear sound out of the headset/speakers you expect.

ST OFF will stop the self test.

Typing Help in the text box will give you other options.

I'll be honest I don't have Discord installed, but it's possible Discord might have something that stops windows reducing the volume.

That same thing may be doing something with the SimCom X volume?

If I get time I'll install and have a look at Discord. There might be some kind of setting in there.
